INUYASHA: INUYASHA
STATUS: SEMI-STATIC (98% COMPLETE)
Inuyasha was born from a demon father and a human mother, making him a half-demon. He suffered a great amount of emotional abuse because he did not belong with demons nor humans. Inuyasha sought the Shikon no Tama to become a full fledged demon, but ended up falling in love with its protector before he did so. The two planned on using the Shikon no Tama to make Inuyasha human, so he could live with her and free her from her duty of protecting it, but Naraku caused the two to think one betrayed the other, and Kikyou sealed Inuyasha to a tree before following him in death. Fifty years later, her reincarnation traveled back to Feudal Japan and awoke Inuyasha from the spell. He now has to travel with Kagome and other friends they meet along the way in order to collect the jewel shards and make the broken Shikon no Tama whole.

It is about time this thing showed up! Inuyasha has been one of my favorite male characters since 2003 when I first started watching the series occasionally. I loved how even though he was an arrogant jerk majority of the time, he was actually considerate, loyal and very protective on the inside. Males like him tend to appeal to me more so than others, and I suppose that is why I have liked him for so long. His total dedication to protect the people he cares about really moved me and it soon became easy to see past his outer shell that he almost constantly has in order to protect himself from being hurt. The desire to protect people as well as his quirky actions and habits had me hooked. I had failed making this tribute many times in the past, and even gave up the project completely. One night, however, I happened to be completely inspired to work on it, and I said "what the heck?" and went for it. The shrine is not large by any means, as I have not kept up with the series since it is way too long, but I just had to make something dedicated to him because he is a very important character to me.
