Nobodies are those that exist between light and darkness, and are those that are not supposed to exist. They are created alongside a Heartless when a person loses their heart. A group of Nobodies that have a stronger sense of self and a human form called Organization XIII is desperately working to make their own Kingdom Hearts in order to regain their hearts and therefore their former selves. Demyx is number IX of the organization, though you probably would not be able to guess if he were not wearing their trademark black cloaks. Demyx is almost happy-go-lucky and not exactly very bright, making him almost an outcast because he is so different than the other members. Even so, Demyx can put up quite the fight and proves to be a powerful opponent for Sora and friends.
When Sora first meets Demyx, I was not exactly obsesssed with his character for whatever reason. Yeah, I thought he was very amusing with the whole notecard thing, but it took until 4:00 AM on Christmas morning to realize how much I really liked him. I was playing Kingdom Hearts II with Rika and I stumbled across Demyx for the second time. I happened to mention how I "kind of like him", and she was all over me to make him a shrine. It did not take much convincing, because I had just had a conversation with Peekay the day before about it as well. Demyx stands out from the rest of Organization XIII in my opinion, and I really wanted to make some sort of tribute to him. The shrine is not very large, but I have put as much information as possible. (He needs more screen time!) His scenes never cease to amuse me, even though I must have watched them at least fifty times by now, not to mention have them memorized. Dance water, dance!
